Volunteering

Chemical Dependency Counselor Intern: Earn hours towards your CDP certification and share your expertise with our amazing youth and staffers. WAPI Community Services works with over 80% low income Youth of Color from the greater Seattle area. We are looking for an individual who is interested in working with youth at a drug treatment setting and has a social justice background.  We’d prefer that you have your first 50 supervised hours but if not, we’re willing to work with you. Be willing to learn about cultural identity, diversity, social justice and how it applies to Youth Outpatient Treatment.  Required: CDPT designation and enrollment in a valid chemical dependency program. This position is not paid, but we offer different incentives along with training in various areas. This position often leads to a paid, permanent position. Thank you!
